One of the most celebrated choirs of all time, The Mississippi Mass Choir to release an all new album DECLARATION OF DEPENDENCE today on Malaco Records.
The Mass has transcended their genre by popularizing the choir sound and becoming the most well-known choirs of our generation. Absolutely synonymous with Gospel music, the Mississippi Mass Choir is deeply rooted in tradition celebrates 25 years of classic choir music, love and success.
The current single, “God’s On Your Side,” featuring powerhouse vocalist, Le’Andria Johnson and producer extraordinaire Stan Jones. “God’s On Your Side,” is a quintessential song of strength and encouragement with unparalleled vocals from Johnson. The single is growing fast and has connected with many at radio. Quickly approaching the Top 30, the song connects with current and new fans alike.
The album was recorded live in Jackson MS at Thalia Mara Hall last year to a sold out crowd and is the choir’s first album in four years.
In support of their new album, The Mass will be on tour this Summer on the McDonald’s Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour. The multi-city tour will make stops in 11 markets, including: Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Jackson, Los Angeles, Memphis, Newark, Oakland, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Raleigh.
