We provide this service to women and young girls who are victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, formerly incarcerated, human trafficking, and recovering addicts. We also provide counseling & education to families and friends who need to understand how to self-care and support their loved ones experiencing trauma.

Mental Health 101 For Clergy Supervisor Keith Carson

Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson presents - Mental Health 101 for Clergy. We've been hearing from clergy in District 5 that they're being asked more frequently to assist congregants with mental health issues and don't feel adequately trained to assist or know where to refer people who need professional help. This will be an introduction to early signs and symptoms of mental illness experienced by individuals as well as the impact of complex trauma on the lives of individuals, families, and communities. All denominations are welcome and encouraged to attend.
