On May 20\, 2016 there will be a Banquet to celebrate his 45 years of Pastoral service. As Pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church\, Dr Ephraim Williams leads one of the largest church congregations in Sacramento. During his tenure\, the church has grown from approximately 100 members to over 5\,000 members. The church has two worship services and mid-week Bible studies for each segment of the family. \nOur special guests will be Grammy award singer Doug Williams of the Williams Brothers gospel group.  In addition\, there will be words of encouragement from Pastor Fred Campbell from Mt. Approximately 3\,000 participants will walk or run between 1-5 miles and will participate in a Soul Stroll health fair with more than 50 resources & corporate partners distributing product and information. The health fair will additionally provide onsite health screenings for all the participants involved. These constructive heath activities are all accomplished in a festive community related atmosphere.\n\n\n\nTionne “T-Boz” Watkins\n‘T-Boz’ is the heart\, sound\, and lead singer of the best selling female American group of all time\, TLC. Watkins’ low\, deep\, sophisticated delivery of the groups numerous hits including “Waterfalls\,” “Unpretty\,” “No Scrubs\,” and “Creep” gave the seminal act the swagger it needed to win five Grammy Awards and captivate millions of fans around the world. T-Boz is the author of a book of poetry entitled Thoughts\, published by HarperCollins (which was a New York Times bestseller).\n\nT-Boz has suffered from Sickle Cell Anemia since she was a child and has pledged herself to be a life-long spokesperson for the debilitating disease. I LOVE MY CITY and it’s my goal as a Pastor in my city to make JESUS a Necessity in#Oakland. \nI’m calling ALL MY FAMILY\, FRIENDS\, Church Family\, CHURCHES\, Youth around Oakland and the #BayArea to meet me THIS SATURDAY at 7:30pm to PRAY for our City and for the Young Lives that need to be saved!! I couldn’t wait until Sunday to pray for all that’s happening in our Cities. WE HAVE TO TAKE THE CHURCH TO THE STREETS! \nEveryone who Preaches in Ministry I’M CALLING FOR YOU. DESCRIPTION:Family\, friends\, fellow musicians and alumnus will celebrate the musical legacy of William “Bill” Bell\, fondly known as The Jazz Professor\, on his 80th birthday\, Tuesday\, July 12\, 2016 at The Phillip Reeder Performing Arts Center on the Castlemont High School Campus in Oakland at 7:00 p.m. \nA highly versatile musician\, Bill Bell is widely known for his work in composition\, arranging\, and conducting as well as music education.  He taught music in the Oakland School District\, is the retired chairman of the music department at the College of Alameda and has served as jazz band director at Stanford University and adjunct professor at U.C. Berkeley\, where he taught courses in jazz improvisation. His commissioned works include “East Meets West” for the Oakland Youth Symphony and ‘’Right On’’ for the San Francisco Symphony.  He is the founder and director of the Oakland Bay Area Community Chorus\, which is dedicated to the preservation of the African American spiritual.  His first CD\, “The Jazz Professor”\, was released in 1995\, followed by his 1997 recording with trumpeter Art Farmer and tenor saxophonist Harold Land\, “Live At Stanford Jazz Workshop”.  Professor Bell’s discography includes “Just Swing Baby” in 2005 and “The Feeling Of Jazz” in 2009.  He has mentored and taught countless well-known musicians including Benny Green\, John Faddis\, Will Kennedy and Rodney Franklin. \nTickets can be purchased at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bay-area-tribute-to-bill-bell-tickets-25885558402or by contacting  friendsofbillbell@gmail.com\, (510) 239-7557
