DESCRIPTION:39th Annual Holistic Health Fair\n“Health Care: Beyond Barriers and Borders”\nSaturday\, August 13\, 2016  | 10am to 3pm\nAllen Temple Baptist Church\, 8501 International Blvd.\, Oakland\, CA\n\n\nThe Holistic Health Fair will offer free health screenings throughout the day:\n\nBlood Pressure\nBreast Exam\nCholesterol\nDental\nDiabetes\nHIV & Hepatitis C\nPodiatry/ Foot\nProstate\nSchool & Sport Physicals\nEye Exam\n\nParticipants will be able to receive health education and legal information\, as well as free food\, backpacks\, school supplies\, clothes\, bicycles (safety training required)\, haircuts\, raffles\, and music. We are grateful for the assistance of our valued Community Partners: Alameda County Care Alliance\, Horizon Clinical Services and Kaiser Permanente. \nMore information to follow! Questions or want to sign up to volunteer? Email atbchealthfair@gmail.com.\n\nAlso available\, Child Fingerprinting Services! Arrive early\n\nWhy? Everyone’s fingerprints are unique and they don’t change over time like physical appearances.\n\n\nHow? Have information that you can share with law enforcement in the event your child is missing. This helps identify your child quickly and accurately. Parents\, ID Kits are a safe and easy way to protect your children.\n\n\nWho? Staff from the Eastmont Neighborhood Police Service Center will be available to provide this service to the first 20 children who come to their table.\n\n\nClean and Gently Used Clothing Donations\n\nDo you have clean and gently used clothing that could benefit someone? If so\, we would be honored to have your clothing donations (along with any extra hangers or shopping bags) for our clothing giveaway at the Health Fair. \nYou may bring your clothing donations on the following date:\n\nFriday\, August 12\, 1pm to 5pm (Family Life Center Room 104-D)\n\n\nWant to help a child succeed? Join us in our Annual Backpack & School Supply Giveaway!\n\nWe will distribute backpacks filled with school supplies to our community’s young people during the Health Fair! Would you join us in helping our young people have a great start to their school year? \nWe will joyfully accept donations on the following dates: \n\nSunday\, July 31 – Between 8am and 11:15 am Worship Services\nSunday\, August 7 – Between 8am and 11:15 am Worship Services\nSaturday\, August 13 – 7am to 1pm\n\nPlease note that children in grades TK through 12 must be present and complete health screenings in order to receive a backpack.
