DESCRIPTION:The Housing & Urban Development Symposium aims are to: \n\nOrganize the faith community and leadership of small community based organizations;\nCreate partnerships to enhance organizational capacityrelative to housing needs;\nEducate and engage faith community and organizational leaders to identify and employ affordable housing and anti-displacement strategies; and\nImprove access to safety net services.\n\nThe creation of effective partnerships will expand and enhance the skills and capacities of community leaders to provide more affordable housing and wrap-around services to impacted communities. \nSupporting the emerging role of community development will help to identify service gaps and lead to systematic change.
