NYE: Watch Night Sing at GLIDE Church

Looking for a unique and special way to celebrate New Year’s Eve? Join us at GLIDE Church on December 31 for NYE Watch Night Sing, a joyous opportunity to bring community voices together to sing in the New Year with good intentions and loving hearts through instantaneous song and celebration! What is the NYE Watch Night Sing? For some of us, New Year’s Eve is best experienced as a time of reflection, a time to contemplate the old year passing and the birth of a new one, an opportunity to come together and set intentions within a sacred and safe space with fellow community members. This year, GLIDE Church is offering a space for this, in the hours leading up to midnight, in the form of nonstop creative circle-singing and spoken word in the Church sanctuary. Community members are invited to come and go throughout the experience, as GLIDE Ensemble Director Vernon Bush and other facilitators offer up their inspirations within the circle of singing. GLIDE Church is a spiritual center of healing, faith, justice and community for everyone. No matter who you are, where you come from or what you’ve been through, you’re welcome here!This week we celebrate Easter, and its promise of liberation and redemption. You can join Minister Marvin K. White for a special service at 7:00 am to welcome in the holiday with the sunrise, or join us at the usual times of 9:00 or 11:00 am. Join us in community for a rousing, moving morning of music, song and uplift for the soul.
