DESCRIPTION:Sisters of the Skies (SOS)\, the nonprofit international aviation organization\, and Alaska Airlines Present the “Phenomenal Firsts Scholarship Gala.” The second annual fundraiser will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel\, 1333 Old Bayshore Highway\, Burlingame CA at the San Francisco Airport on Saturday\, February 8 at 6 p.m. \nThe purpose of the gala is to seek to improve the current number of black women pilots\, which stands at 150 in the United States\, holding Airline Transport Pilot\, Commercial\, Military and or Certified Flight Instructor licenses. \nEmcee: \n\nPam Moore\, Anchor – KRON 4\n\nKeynote Speaker: \n\nSOS Advisor Dr. Sheila Chamberlain\, the first African American female U.S. Army Combat Intelligence Pilot\n\nThe dress is formal and pilots are asked to wear their uniforms.
