YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN US for the fourth convening of AFRICAN AMERICAN ORGANIZATIONS MAKING CONNECTIONS IV, scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 9:00am - 4:00pm at Laney College, Oakland, CA.  MAKING CONNECTIONS is an initiative that mobilizes African-American organizations, businesses and leaders throughout the greater East Bay region in efforts to create timely solutions for growth, sustainability and prosperity. As in the previous three gatherings, this year’s MAKING CONNECTIONS promises to present a robust action-oriented event, featuring national, regional and local dignitaries and renowned speakers.  With over 400 expected attendees, MAKING CONNECTIONS IV offers a diverse mix of engagement sessions and workshops designed to enlighten, empower and activate.  More importantly, by providing a safe space for our community members, policy makers and funders to collaborate, network, discuss and develop solutions to a myriad of social issues afflicting the African-American, MAKING CONNECTIONS IV hopes to revolutionize the way Bay Area communities devise and implement solutions for social advancement.
