DESCRIPTION:On June 9\, 2018\, DO & A Sista’s Touch\, a 501(c)3 nonprofit public benefit corporation\, will be hosting our inaugural charity walk/run event at the Lakeside Park Pergola near Lake Merritt in Oakland to garner community support for our young Sistas and to mobilize against the perils of human trafficking through awareness and edification. The purpose of this charity event is to create a space that will afford a holistic: mind\, body\, spirit approach toward civic engagement and a common cause central to the legacy of our children\, community\, and our city. This event will serve as an outreach opportunity for community based services to share information with a population fundamental to our mission; Our Daughters. \nRegister today to participate in the Walk/Run around Lake Merritt (3.1 miles). There will be education\, resources\, giveaways\, and donations to support Our Daughters\, parents\, families\, and community interests in understanding and mitigating human trafficking in our community.
