Friendship Missionary Baptist Church to Host Black Infant Health Program of Solano County

As a part of Women’s History Month and The Serving Season (iServe), Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (FMBC) is pleased to announce that it will host the women and families of Solano Counties Black Infant Health Program on this Sunday, March 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. This year we are pleased to partner with Black Infant Health in its critical battle against Black infant mortality.
Black Infant Health provides an incredibly  important service to low-to-moderate income communities by providing education and access to quality prenatal services.  Though African-Americans make up only 12% of the population of Solano County, African Americans lead the County with 29% infant mortality. Yet, 95% of Black Infant Health clients have normal weight for newborns. As a community of faith, Friendship is committed to being a part of the efforts to eradicate disparities amongst any group. As such, we can find no greater way to celebrate women than to support organizations that strengthen and empower them and their health.

Join us as we come together to encourage community workers and young families. During our 11:00 a.m. service we will bring forth more than 20 babies and families and offer forth a blessing of babies. We, as a community, will seek to encourage families by engaging in a communal prayer of blessing for betterment.  Remember, FMBC IS THE PLACE TO BE!  Friendship Missionary Baptist Church is committed to being a community space dedicated to transforming the spirit, mind and body!

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (FMBC) is pastored by Rev. Dante R. Quick, and located at 1905 Florida Street, Vallejo, California.
