We are looking forward to welcoming you to our NEW location at the South San Francisco Conference Center this year! This lovely and spacious facility is well suited for our growing program needs, in addition to being supportive of our mission of helping Bay Area underserved women fight breast cancer.
The purpose of this event is to disseminate breast cancer education and information that is culturally-tailored to African Americans in an effort to reduce disparities and the burden of cancer among this population in the Greater SF Bay Area. Topics will include proper breast health; breast cancer risks; early detection; cancer biology; nutrition; physical activity; breast cancer disparities and African American women; clinical updates and treatment options; spiritual and psychosocial support; and survivorship.
There will be a special keynote presentation on “Reducing Breast Cancer Disparities in African American Women” by Carrie P. Hunter, M.D., M.P.H., President and CEO of Oncology Consulting International, LLC.
