Tasha Cobbs: The Bay Area Collide Encounter

God was definitely in the building as young people from across Northern California came to Collide with the presence of the Lord.  Held in Hayward, at the Glad Tidings Church of God in Christ and hosted by Collide – hundreds of young people showed up ready to worship.

EMI Gospel artist, Tasha Cobbs served the evenings guest psalmist and ushered in praise and worship with her authenticity and gift. ‘Break Every Chain’, the newly release single from Cobbs (available now via iTunes) took worship to a higher level with its simple yet profound lyrics.  Her highly anticipated album “Grace” is set for release, February 2013.

Up and coming local favorite, Joe Douglass & Spirit of Praise provided background vocals and support throughout the evening.  Following a spontaneous alter call, Pastor Del spoke to the freedom that flowed throughout the room, and declared this is the last night that chains will remain. His ability to rise above the generational boundaries of traditional church made the entire evening enjoyable and relevant.

The mission of Collide is to awaken a generation from the slumber of normalcy by equipping and empowering them to fulfill Jesus’ call to do even greater things than he did.  There was nothing normal about last nights encounter.

It was amazing to see young peoples seek the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Lives were revived, refreshed, and renewed.  Pastor Del and his team are up to something great.
