STYLE GUIDE: 2013 Fall Fashion Tips for Women

Summer is over and I’m here to help you stroll into fall – in style! It’s time to put away those summer dresses and tank tops – and wrap up in some luxurious fall fabrics!!! There are a few fall fashion must haves for every woman’s closet. Let’s dig into my top six choices:

Ladies, invest in a great fitted tailored jacket to show off those feminine curves. Paired with everything from work slacks or jeans, a jacket adds structure to your frame: gives curvy girls more angular lines, creates waistlines for boyish figure types and smooths out lumps and bumps for all shapes. Choose fabrics like tweed, corduroy, denim or go luxe with velvet, leather or brocade. Accessorize this look with your favorite scarf and gloves and a posh handbag and you’re ready!!

The second must have should be a staple in every woman’s wardrobe and that is the classic black skirt. Weather its a elegant high waisted pencil skirt or a gorg DKNY flared skirt made of crocodile skin. The black leather skirt is timeless and never out of style during the fall season

This look I absolutely love !! A great way to segue through the season change is with a chíc over-sized sweater. A chunky or lightweight over-sized sweater works great with a slim leg pant or jeans. I call this look “Throw and Go” throw it on and go to make for an effortless stylish look.

Weather going for that chíc European look or just adding an extra outer piece to face the cooler temperatures, capes or a cloak provide a strong statement-making addition to your ensemble! Play with different styles and lengths to create your own cloaked look. Remember, a cloak or cape transitions effortlessly from day to evening. Wear it with skinny jeans and some killer boots during the day, or drape it over a cocktail dress on a chilly night out.

An all time classic for fall is the classic riding boot, but this year over the knee boots are especially popular. These boots were all over the runways in Paris and New York in a variety of styles such as buckles, straps, fringe and lace up designs that give it that wow factor. Whether heeled or flat, you can incorporate this boot into your wardrobe. Pair them with tunics, oversized sweaters or a fitted blazer to create that signature fall look!

A jumpsuit or romper can be a nice alternative to a dress for going out. The jumpsuit is extremely versatile, weather wearing it by itself  for a night out with the girls or pairing it with a cute little blazer for a more professional look. The jumpsuit is a must have for fall.

Fall is the time to step it up and get creative with ways to look stylish and keep warm.
