The Stellar Awards, one of Gospel’s best nights in music, set the tone for a full weekend of gatherings, star-studded events, and tons of industry news.

Pastor Charles Jenkins, who enjoyed success during last years show with his hit “Awesome,” announced the addition of award winning artist, Byron Cage to the Inspired People Music roster. Inspired People is a new boutique label, distributed through Motown Gospel.

“I am extremely proud of Pastor Charles Jenkins. He is a phenomenal leader in the body of Christ, a people’s pastor whose heart for ministry spills over into everything he does. I believe this is why his music ministry has been so blessed. And I believe this is why his business ventures are so blessed. Pastor Jenkins has a vision that is firmly planted in God’s Word. I am honored to be part of the Inspired People family, and look forward to breaking boundaries together,” says Cage.

“Byron Cage is a genuine statesman of Gospel music,” says Pastor Jenkins. “He is an anointed artist and most importantly he is dedicated to God, his people and The Church of Jesus Christ. When this opportunity came to me it was a natural fit for our company. He is a globally revered psalmist, one of the body of Christ’s marquee worship leaders, and a proven voice committed to leading the world in worship to our God while serving beyond the stage. Our team is ecstatic to welcome him as we look forward to serving God’s people together.”

2014 is shaping up to be a productive year for the busy artist – with plans for a reality show, and hitting the studio to begin work on his new project, he definitely has his hands full. Cage recently stepped down from his Minister of Music role at the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church (VA), pastored by Dr. Lance Watson – and will continue to serve in his position at the Ebenezer AME Church (MD).
