I know I’m not the only who has sat in on a program, or service and thought – THIS CHOIR NEEDS A FIX! Tune in tonight 10/9c on Oxygen as struggling choirs get a little TLC and guidance from Deitrick Haddon (Preachers of L.A.) and Michelle Williams (Destiny’s Child).
All things church have really begun to find a home on the Oxygen television network. Produced by Pink Sneakers with John Ehrhard, Kimberly Ehrhard and Lauren Stevens along with Relevé Entertainment’s Holly Carter and Jonathan Singer, and Deitrick Haddon all serving as Executive Producers.
A great choir has the potential to inspire communities and uplift people everywhere, said Rod Aissa, Senior Vice President, Original Programming and Development for Oxygen Media. Viewers will witness Deitrick and Michelle breathe new life into choirs that have lost their way in ‘FixMyChoir,’ culminating with unforgettable performances that will bring the house down.
Each week, the duo will surprise a community, school or gospel choir and help them find perfect harmony both within their music – and their members. Tonights premiere episode introduces us to Josh Kigler and the Harmonistic Praise Choir of New Orleans, LA. After enduring constant bickering and inflated egos, Josh requests the help of “Fix My Choir” to bring HPC back to its divine glory.
We’ll be tuned in each week, especially as this season includes Ja Ronn & FLOW (Faithful Levites of Worship), a local multicultural choir birthed out of SFSU Gospel Choir known as the Gospel Gators.
Dont miss it tonight Wednesday, November 5, 10/9c and join the conversation online at #FixMyChoir
