Sometimes I forget just how long it’s been since my last perm. It is probably easier for those who took the “big chop” plunge to mark their experience with the a date, time, and even the days weather.
Things didn’t end up that cut and dry for me (pun…maybe intended, lol). One day I just decided I was over worrying about new growth every few weeks. I wanted to be better to my hair, and missed the thickness enjoyed while growing up.
I’m still a flat-iron girl on most days, and rock my twist-outs from my couch (shrinkage…argh!!) while following along to some of my fav youtubers. I love the versatility of my hair, and have learned to love the way my hair responds to different treatment and products. But when the holidays roll around, I fall into my traditional curl-and-go hairstyle.
So when the folks at Pantene sent an assortment of goodies for great holiday hair, my wheels got to spinning and off to YouTube I went. Missing from the picture above is the No Crunch Curls Whip…somehow it made its way into my grandmothers bathroom cabinet.

This holiday season, I’ve been replaying the ‘Beauty by Lee’ knot out tutorial. I can’t wait to dive right into the co-wash and other goodies for my holiday hair.
