The Barbara Lee & Elihu Harris Lecture Series promotes an ample exchange of ideas to help inspire and move forward new leadership and sergeantship. All lectures present civil rights leaders who worked closely with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and who continue to work tirelessly for social change. In partnership with Merritt College of Oakland, the series recognizes the social justice vision, leadership and accomplishments of Congresswoman Barbara Lee and Elihu M. Harris.
