The Housing & Urban Development Symposium aims are to:

• Organize the faith community and leadership of small community based organizations;
• Create partnerships to enhance organizational capacityrelative to housing needs;
• Educate and engage faith community and organizational leaders to identify and employ affordable housing and anti-displacement strategies; and
• Improve access to safety net services.

The creation of effective partnerships will expand and enhance the skills and capacities of community leaders to provide more affordable housing and wrap-around services to impacted communities.

Supporting the emerging role of community development will help to identify service gaps and lead to systematic change. In addition, providing information about housing resources can be used to promote and acquire affordable housing.

Attendees will learn about the counties resources and funding opportunities available for housing development and other services.
