Father we pray for every person that is infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, that you would grant comfort, grace and healing. We pray that compassion and love would abound and be greater than stigma and fear, and that you would be a balm to every wound and scar that HIV/AIDS has left on your people and communities around the
world.
Father give us boldness and power to stand against the social injustice that marginalizes people and perpetuates this pandemic. Give voice to the many who have been afraid and ashamed to speak out and say that they are hurting, sick and in need of help. Rebuke fear and condemnation and give it is place power, love and soundness of mind. Empower us to join together in our communities, places of worship and in our homes and talk about HIV, love that causes us to remember our sense of community and our social responsibility for one another and the mind of Christ that governs our choices with compassion.
We pray for and we thank you for the doctors, nurses, scientists and all the medical professionals that are working together to treat this disease, that they would be anointed under your power as they work to care for your people and are led swiftly to find a cure. We pray for our government and our spiritual leaders as they are moved to the forefront of the fight and lead us toward hope.
Thank you for the men and women who work in the HIV communities and our family members and friends who have been our caretakers and your healing hands, loving us and staying by our side through the most difficult times.
Father we come boldly unto your throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. We submit this prayer to you believing that are able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think, according to the power that is working in us, Amen.
