Oh God,
You have stood by us from the very beginning of this fight and we know you didn’t bring us this far to leave us. James Weldon Johnson said, “we have come over a way where with tears have been watered. We have come treading the path through the blood of the slaughtered.” You’ve brought us from a mighty long way.
Thank you for turning the death sentence of HIV/AIDS around and breathing life into our brothers and sisters who continue to live with this disease.
Have mercy on them and also their loving caregivers who sacrifice time and energy to help those who deal daily with symptoms and ailments. Touch the physicians and researchers. Give them the cure that will eradicate this disease once and for all.
We are grateful for all you’ve done and stand in expectancy of your grace and mercy in the days to come.
