2012 Sistahs Go Red Campaign to Kickoff February 3rd

    American Heart Association

We are excited to announce our 2012 Greater Bay Area Sistahs Go Red Campaign.  Each February, we invite churches and organizations to have women dress up in red and celebrate their lives.

During this month, we have over 2000 women acknowledge that heart disease is the #1 killer in America and that they have the power to live healthy lives free from heart disease and stroke.

Simply pick one Sunday or day in February to invite women to dress up in red, complete the form (click here) if you are requesting Go Red pins and materials and fax back to me.  All materials will be mailed starting the week of January 30.  Dress pins and materials are limited and available on a first come, first serve basis.

This year we are also hosting a Heel N Hearts: Strut For Your Heart fashion show on Saturday, February 11 at Somerville Towne Center mall in Antioch from 1-3 pm.  Join us for an afternoon of fashion and fun as we salute women who have joined us in the fight against heart disease and stroke.  Pull out your red shoes and accessories and come strut down the runaway for a chance to win a $100, $75 or $50 Macy’s Gift Card and bragging rights.

To be considered for one of 25 Strutter spots, please complete the bottom of the form (click here) by answering the questions, “What does strut for your heart mean to you?”  Please submit your entry by Friday, January 20, 2012.  Final Strutters will be notified on Monday, January 30, 2012. This event is hosted in partnership with John Muir Health.

Thank you again for all of your support and we look forward to making this February another fabulous Heart Month.

Here is to a healthy and prosperous year!
