The Hawkins’ Music and Arts Love Fellowship Conference (MALFC) held its first benefit concert (Jan 27, 2014), Praise in the Place at Love Center in Oakland, Ca, hosted by Gospel songwriter and director, Donald Lawrence and the Bay Area’s own Evangelist Jacquelyn Melton.
The Post-Grammy themed event included some of the best in Gospel Music – Chrystal Rucker, Earnest Pugh and Jonathan Nelson blessed the evenings crowd with their chart topping selections. Honoring the vision of the MALFC these artists, along with choirs from Mt. Calvary Baptist Church (Fairfield), The Porter Brothers & Genesis (Sacramento), Greater St. Paul (Oakland), and Love Center’s own Mass Choir, were there singing and testifying as witnesses who have seen the outcome and impact of the Music and Arts Love Fellowship Conference.
Supporters of the Music and Arts Love Fellowship Conference came from around the Bay Area and filled the house on a Monday night to give and be a part of the vision both legendary gospel artists Dr. Edwin Hawkins and the Late Bishop Walter Hawkins started.
The 2014 MALFC will be held June 22-27 and will take place where it first began, Oakland, California. Add it to your calendar now, and make plans to attend!
