Kerry Douglas, CEO of World Wide Music Inc and his team is upping the ante and pushing Zacardi Cortez’ radio smash “1 on 1” to new heights. The soul-stirring ballad is spending its third week at #1 on Billboard magazine’s Gospel Airplay chart and has now debuted at #27 with a bullet on Billboard’s Adult R&B chart.
“This is a message we want to spread beyond the walls of the church,” says Douglas. “Everybody needs some one on one time with God but also with the people who mean something to them. With our hectic lives, the song is just a little reminder to make some time for one on one time.”
A lot of urban stations are jumping on the song to help spread the message. The song is the second most added song at radio behind Pharell Williams’ “Happy.”
The soulful song anchors Cortez’ forthcoming 13-track CD “Reloaded: Deluxe Edition” (World Wide Music, Inc.) that will be released April 1, 2014.
