Super Bowl Gospel joins together NFL Players, top Gospel/Contemporary Christian, mainstream GRAMMY® Award-winning artists and special guests all on one stage, bringing audiences an evening of uplifting music and inspirational messages.
The 17th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration is one of the many events taking place in the San Francisco Bay Area in advance of the game on Sunday, Feb. 7 on CBS. SBGC is one of the largest multi-cultural events taking place Super Bowl weekend.
“We founded this event to bring even more inspiration and celebration to one of the biggest events of the year – the Super Bowl,” says Melanie Few-Harrison, Creator & Producer of Super Bowl Gospel Celebration. “Each year we aim to make the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration bigger than the last with artists and special guests from all backgrounds. Given the rich musical history and culture of The Bay Area and a powerful line-up of talent, this year’s concert will be sure to kick off Super Bowl Weekend.”
SBGC has featured artists including Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Yolanda Adams, Gladys Knight, Mary Mary, Fantasia, Donnie McClurkin, Anthony Hamilton, Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton & New Breed and Marvin Sapp, among many others.
Current and former NFL player participants have included Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Deion Sanders, Ray Lewis, John Elway, Kurt Warner, Donovan McNabb, Coach Lovie Smith and Tony Dungy and more. The acclaimed NFL Players Choir, which features present and former NFL players, has delivered show-stopping performances year after year.
