    Family Fun: The Bill Picket Invitational Rodeo Returns to the Bay Area, July 8-9

    Family favorite, the Bill Picket Invitational Rodeo (BPIR) makes its return to the Bay Area this weekend, July 8-9, 2017.

     

    Held at the Rowell Ranch Rodeo Grounds (Castro Valley, CA), attendees will enjoy a day filled with African American cowboys and cowgirls, food and dessert vendors, and tons of action as the crowd looks on during the Calf Ropin’, Bareback Ridin’, Ladies Barrel Racin’, Junior Barrell Racin’ and more competitions.

    Now in its 33rd year, BPIR continues the legacy and vision of of its’ founder Lu Vason alive with the same professional, family oriented and always exciting entertainment. The National Tour is the longest running African American Family Event other than the Ebony Fashion Fair that toured for 50 years.

    Wear your comfortable shoes, and bring your appetite. Each year the rodeo is full of full, connecting with old and new friends, and making plenty more. It truly is the best show on dirt!
