The Housing & Urban Development Symposium aims are to: Organize the faith community and leadership of small community based organizations; Create partnerships to enhance organizational capacityrelative to housing needs; Educate and engage faith community and organizational leaders to identify and employ affordable housing and anti-displacement strategies; and Improve access to safety net services. The creation of effective partnerships will expand and enhance the skills and capacities of community leaders to provide more affordable housing and wrap-around services to impacted communities. Supporting the emerging role of community development will help to identify service gaps and lead to systematic change. In addition, providing information about housing resources can be used to promote and acquire affordable housing. The Summit will feature dynamic speakers, health symposia, health screenings, local performers and artists, nutritional food, and free therapeutic massage, chiropractic and acupuncture services. A vendor fair and Pop Up village will all be at the Summit. Keynote Speakers: Dr. Wade Nobles, Founder & Executive Director, Institute for the Advanced Study of Black Family, Life and Culture, Inc.
