Friendship Missionary Baptist Church to Host Freedom Riders and Tuskegee Airman

As a part of African-American History Month and The Serving Season (iServe), Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (FMBC) is pleased to announce that it will host a “Living Legacy Chat and Chew” on this Sunday, February 19, 2012, at 2:00 p.m.
This year we are pleased to host two Freedom Riders, Etta Simpson Ray and Carol Ruth Silver, and retired Tuskegee Airman, Captain Charles Woodard. These three living legends will offer insights into their journeys and field questions from the audience.

We will kick off the experience on Friday, February 17, 2012, with a community viewing of the PBS documentary, “FREEDOM RIDERS.”  The event will begin with a snack bar from 6:00 p.m.-6:45 p.m.  The movie will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.  Both events are FREE and open to the community.  Come enjoy the film and fellowship as we look back to move forward.  Remember, FMBC IS THE PLACE TO BE!

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church is committed to being a community space dedicated to transforming the spirit, mind and body.  Rev. Dr. Dante Quick serves as the Senior Pastor.
