Each year the BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Awards Luncheon draws gospel music’s premier songwriters, brightest stars and leading executives. Held annually, and considered one of the most prestigious events surrounding the Stellar Awards, the 14th Annual BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards Luncheon will take place Friday, January 18th in Nashville.
Gospel favorites, Donnie McClurkin and CeCe Winans will host the inspirational tribute to 2013 Honorees – Dr. Edwin Hawkins, Lady Tramaine Hawkins, and Kurt Carr.
The trio recently gathered together during the Bay Area tribute celebration honoring Lady Tramaine Hawkins for over 40 years of Gospel ministry.
Edwin Hawkins, considered the father of contemporary gospel, Lady Tramaine Hawkins, an award winning distinctive soprano, and Kurt Carr, a wordsmith whose songs are essential to Sunday morning church, are set to be honored with performances by an assembly of anointed musicians.
