A collaboration of Richmond Churches (Bethlehem Missionary Baptist, Parchester First Baptist, St. Luke Missionary Baptist, Tabernacle of Praise Apostolic, Easter Hill United Methodist, Sojourner Truth Presbyterian, and All Nations COGIC) have come together to host the first Richmond Faith and Community Health Fair on Saturday, August 3, 2013.
Faith organizations working together for a healthy community are the focus of our event, which will provide information that addresses issues that affect our health and our community. Informational booths, health screenings, vendor booths, and live entertainment, food, prizes, fun and games for all, and more. Church booths with literature from the participating congregations, and a Prayer Closet will also be provided.
Some of our participants are: Kaiser Permanente, and Kaiser mascots– Marina the Water Otter and Cardia Heart, Doctors Medical Center, Lifelong Medical, Black Nurses Association, Ronald McDonald Dental Van, California Highway Patrol, City of Richmond Health and Wellness Office, A Network for a Health California, and entertainment provided by Janet Maxie-Reid and Working On It Band, Richmond Class Act Line Dancers, Solcar ChuChu Train ride, and a jumper house with slide for the children, and more…
For a successful community health fair, we depend on our community support and attendance, and hope you will be able to attend our event.
This year’s Health Fair is sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, and will be held at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church located at 684 Juliga Woods Street (formerly Erlandson), Richmond.
Please join us in a day of information, fitness activities, food and fun for the whole family.
