NBC’s Richard Engel Tours The Church of the Holy Sepulchre Renovations

Tune in Sunday, June 26th as “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt,” Chief Foreign Correspondent Richard Engel takes an exclusive look at renovations being made to The Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

The holy site in Jerusalem is believed to be the place of Jesus’ crucifixion and tomb. In danger of collapsing from damage that it suffered 200 years ago, no would agree on how to fix it because the Holy Sepulchre is shared – contentiously – by six different churches. Soon the stone slab that believers say covered Christ’s tomb, may be lifted.
