“The Shack” is the latest addition to the thriving faith and family film market. Directed by Stuart Hazeldine and written by John Fusco, the Lionsgate adaptation is based on William P. Young’s 2007 novel of same name.
The upcoming movie has been making headlines, with Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer playing the role of “God” alongside characters representing his manifestation through a middle-eastern carpenter, and another named Sarayu.
