2010 WOMEN OF GREATNESS NOMINATION
Do You Have a Colleague, Friend, or Relative Who Makes a Significant Impact in your Community?
This is Your Opportunity to Recognize Bay Area Business Women for their Achievements and Contributions to Public Service.
Nominations are being accepted for the 2010 Women of Greatness recognition awards to be presented at Mayor Ronald V. Dellums’ Model City Summit on Women on Monday, May 10, 2010, at the Oakland Marriott Convention Center.
Summit co-chairs Mayor Dellums and First Lady Cynthia Dellums, along with the 2010 Women of Greatness Nomination Committee will select six (6) business women who have excelled in the following:
Nominees will have:
- Demonstrated civic leadership at the neighborhood, city, district, state and/or national level;
- Demonstrated service and made outstanding contributions to the advancement of causes concerning the well-being of women and families; and;
- Demonstrated commitment to the values that promote the spirit of collaboration within the community.
The Women of Greatness Award honors women for a particular body of work or for the sum of their achievements. It recognizes exceptional civic leadership, especially within the communities of Alameda, Contra Costa or San Francisco counties. Individuals may nominate themselves or other women.

Nomination forms can be requested via email at ljones@oaklandnet.com. The nomination deadline has been extended to March 26, 2010. Honorees will now be announced in April 2010.
